Course information : The Pharmaceutical industry today is at the forefront of science based industries with wide ranging capabilities in the complex field of drug manufacture and technology. Pharmacy is a rewarding career in many ways. It offers diverse professional and practice options. Changes in health care system are providing new job opportunities and more importantly, it is a career that is highly respected because of the pharmacist's indisputable impact on patient's health. After the successful completion of the second year, the students will have to under go a practical training of 500 hours (not less than 3 months) in a hospital.

Scope : Students can expect lucrative careers in:

· Hospitals, private health care and social service delivery agencies
· They can start their own medical stores after getting a practicing licence
· Progression onto the B-Pharma course

Approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi (PCI).


Coursework & Assessment :The entire course will be assessed by written examination at the end of the year/semester, and a practical examination by an external examiner. Students are also expected to appear for a viva, based on both the theory and practical syllabus.
